Paperwork
- Keep all receipts (attestation, shipping, anything related to getting over here). You will be able to submit these to be reimbursed for the Moving Allowance.
- Get paperwork in as soon as possible. The Visa process can take a long time and you will not be able to do several things until you finish the Visa process (i.e. Internet, driver's license, bank account, hire live-in maid/nanny).
- Bring extra copies of your:
- Degree, Licensure, & Certification
- Birth certificate
- Passport
- Driver’s license
- Background check
- Marriage certificates, teaching certification, etc.
- BRING LOTS OF PASSPORT PHOTOS. Everything you apply for (drivers license, bank account, travel Visa, liquor license) takes 3 or more passport photos.
- Read IB curriculum documents early, especially if you have never taught it before.
